Planning your wedding
Working out your wedding budget

Think about how much you have and how much you want to spend:
Do you already have some money set aside?
Will either of your families be contributing?
Do you need to start saving?
You can use our budget calculator to see what you can afford.
Start saving for your big day

The legal side of things
Give notice to marry

Make a will
If you don't already have a will it's a good time to make one. If you do have one, think about updating it.
Change your name
If you want to take your partner's surname, send your marriage certificate and a letter to record-holders. You may need to send an original so check with them.
