Apply online only. You must be 17+ living in the UK and have lived in the UK for less than 3 years. You must either be a full time undergraduate student on at least a 2 year course at a UK University/College or you must be completing a full time postgraduate or nursing course lasting a year or more.

How to apply online

RBS - Step 1

Start your application online

Fill in the online application. To be eligible for the student offer, you'll need to register for Digital Banking and agree to having paperless statements.
RBS - Step 2

Provide your ID documents

If you're from within the EU you'll need an EU passport, EU ID card or EU Drivers Licence. If you're from outside of the EU you'll need a passport and student VISA, and a Biometric Resident Permit.
RBS - Step 3

Show us you're a student

The simplest way to prove your student status is with one of the following: Student visa, Student Biometric Residency Permit, UCAS status number or University confirmation letter.

Once your account is open, we'll contact you on the details you provided in the application form to confirm your choice of offer
